Comments As kids grow up, they learn different things about themselves and where they fit in life. From bickering with siblings to pushing their limits, they consistently try to find who they really are and what they wish to become. In her research into raising children, Dr. Jane Nelson designed a method that teaches decision making, firmness and fairness, responsibility, accountability, and communication with children. This six-part Positive Discipline series will help foster parents and kinship care providers understand why discipline with abused and neglected children is different from the discipline that worked with them growing up and different from what they may have used while raising their own children. Care providers will learn why traditional discipline often fails with children who have been abused and neglected and will go over multiple skills, techniques, and ideas for using positive discipline with the children in your care. This is a FREE class for caregivers of children ages 0-18. **Supervised museum play for attending children will be provided for those children who are pre-registered and are able to use the toilet on their own. This service is available for children ages 3-12 years old** ****This is a 6 part series**** Dates are Thursdays, July 10, 24, 31 and August 7, 14 and 28 **Presented by: Stacy Lappin and Penny Michel**
